My own home was featured in the Arlington
Heights Historical Society’s House Walk.
Here’s what the woman in charge of our house
said about the experience…
|
Dear Sue and
Chris,
The docents and I spent a most
enjoyable afternoon sharing your
house with the community to
benefit the Arlington Heights
Historical Society. We
understand how much work and
preparation go into readying a
home for such an event and
appreciate the effort. From
arranging everything just right to showcase your talents
to figuring out what to do with
the kids and dogs for the day,
it can be overwhelming.
However, your home showed
beautifully. It was fun to hear
the comments from the visitors
-- many claimed yours to be
their favorite of all the houses
on the walk; more than half
noticed the furniture at angles
in corners, the chocolate brown
bath with blue accents inspired
those on the lookout for color
schemes, and more than once we
heard, “…such attention to
detail! Look Jane Austin’s
Emma in Emma’s room -- how
sweet! Thank you again -- we had a
great time!
